
Mark is the Director of In Exchange Ltd., a firm dedicated to supporting evidence-informed development projects. He has 25 years of experience working in water resource management, consulting, business development and executive leadership. His areas of focus are climate change, water resource management, agriculture, and pastoralism in the international development context. Mark currently consults for Indonesian-Australian Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT) programme with Cowater International supporting five water utilities in the development of their climate action plans. From 2020 to 2023, Mark was the Executive Director of the FCDO funded Supporting Pastoralism and Agriculture in Recurrent and Protracted Crises (SPARC) initiative. Prior to this, Mark was the Executive Vice President of Water, Climate and Environment at Cowater International (2016-2020) and led research programmes on urban resilience, climate change and water at the International Development Research Centre (2002-2015). He is an urban planner by training with a master’s degree from McGill University and a specialization in water management.
