About

After 15 years doing a broad range of environmental consulting in Canada, I had the opportunity to work on international development projects in Indonesia and the Philippines in the 1990s. In the years since then, I have lived in the Caribbean for almost nine years and managed projects in the Caribbean and Africa.

I’ve designed and managed international development projects in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean and developed a solid understanding of the complex issues underlying poverty and the solutions that can be found in building capacity and forming alliances among local stakeholders. I also have a talent for translating those solutions into practical action.

I have a strong track record for managing complex, multi-million dollar projects in a range of contexts, including challenging field situations. I have also proven my ability to write and win proposals, and to expand and diversify programming, partners and funding sources. I have a particular interest in empowering youth and women through entrepreneurship and in economic growth through innovative partnerships involving the private sector.
