- New Overseas Assignment Directive (OAD): On Sept. 28th, 2022, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) presented its new Overseas Assignment Directive (OAD) which will replace the Technical Assistance Handbook (TAH). It will focus more on duty of care and offer the possibility of joining a new group insurance policy for which GAC will cover 50% of the cost.
