Brief Description

Dear Partners,

I am pleased to inform you that the Department has launched a request for Expressions of Interest (EoI) to design and manage the Partnership for Gender Equality. The Partnership was announced <https://www.canada.ca/en/global-affairs/news/2018/05/canada-announces-new-partnership-to-fund-gender-equality-and-empower-women-and-girls-in-developing-countries.html>  by Minister Bibeau in May 2018 – with a contribution of up to $300M – in a call to action to the philanthropic community, the private sector, not-for-profit  and non-governmental organizations to mobilize unprecedented levels of resources to support gender equality and women’s rights in developing countries. The Partnership will be a global funding platform where interested partners from across sectors can pool and leverage their funds, ensuring long-term sustainable, predictable and flexible financing to help address the funding gap faced by women’s organizations and movements working to advance women’s rights, gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in developing countries.

Organizations and/or consortia will have until 12:00 p.m. (noon) Eastern Daylight Time on January 31, 2019 to submit their application.

Details about this EoI, as well as the process to submit an application, are available here<https://international.gc.ca/world-monde/funding-financement/gender_equality-egalite_genres.aspx?lang=eng>.

Please note that all questions in relation to this EoI should be directed to the following address: PGE-PEG@international.gc.ca.

Questions must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. (noon) Eastern Daylight Time January 17, 2019.

Responses will be posted on the Partnership for Gender Equality Questions and Answers page <https://international.gc.ca/world-monde/funding-financement/gender_equality-egalite_genres-faq.aspx?lang=eng>  to ensure that all potential applicants have access to the same information at the same time.

We thank you in advance for sharing this announcement with your networks.

Best regards,

Caroline Leclerc
