NOTICE
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FIVE MARKET STUDIES IN THE CARIBBEAN
Background
The Canadian Hunger Foundation (CHF) is currently implementing a project in the Caribbean called Promotion of Regional Opportunities for Produce through Enterprises and Linkages (PROPEL) project. Funded by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) and CHF, the aim is to increase the value of Caribbean fresh produce accessing high-value markets (HVM) in the Caribbean and internationally by CAD100 million over six years.
CHF is requesting proposals from consultants to undertake market studies in five countries: Jamaica; Guyana; St. Lucia; Barbados; and Trinidad and Tobago. The methodology for each study is similar, in order for PROPEL to analyze information across the five countries. Individual Terms of Reference (ToR) for each country have been prepared and are posted on the CHF website at: http://www.chf.ca/who-we-are/requests-for-proposals
Eligibility
The Request for Proposal (RfP) is open to both firms and individuals from the Caribbean region or Canada. An individual may only bid on one country study given the short timeframe for completion of all studies. Firms may bid on more than one country study. If the bid is for more than one study, the firm must have adequate qualified personnel to undertake the country level work simultaneously in multiple countries.
Proposal Requirements
These are listed in individual ToRs found on the CHF website at: http://www.chf.ca/who-we-are/requests-for-proposals
Submission of Proposal
Proposals should be sent by email to Carmen Teichgraber cteichgraber@chf.ca prior to the closing date of 23:59 (EDT) on Monday September 15, 2014. As indicated in the ToRs, the proposals should have two components clearly marked as technical proposal and financial proposal and indicates which country study.
Questions
All questions pertaining to the Request for Proposals should be directed to cteichgraber@chf.ca at least three days prior to the closing deadline.
