Brief Description

While preparing a service proposal for a project aiming to strengthen the management of basic education and youth in Honduras, we seek the following senior manager to complete the canadian team project which is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA):

Field Project Manager – Education Sector / Honduras

Long-term contract of at least two (2) years in Tegucigalpa

Reporting to the Canadian Project Director located in our Longueuil Head Office, its role is to adopt and promote local empowerment and implementation of the fundamental principles of this project. It will provide administrative and management support to the Canadian team based in Honduras. More information on it specific responsibilities can be provided on request.

Sought professional profiles

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant status.

• Master degree in education, management or public administration.

• At least five (5) years of experience in managing large projects ($ 5M CDN or more, ideally) in the field of education and educational services, ideally in primary or secondary sector, acquired in developing countries. This experience includes the development of best practices, policies and management strategies in the education sector.

• Experience in participatory approach in multidisciplinary teams and multi-stakeholder context.

• Fluency in Spanish, both oral and written, as well as French or English.

• Availability to reside long term in Tegucigalpa, this project having an expected duration of six (6) years.

Remuneration
The remuneration and conditions of expatriation will be established according to the policies of the firm, the financial and administrative rules of the contracting authority, secondment agreements that might be concluded with employers and tax exemptions permitted under the case. A benefits program is also part of the compensation package.
