As the Co-Chair of the Catalyst Canada Chapter and Director of CAIDP, I am delighted to invite all CAIDP members to join Catalyzing Change Week 2022. It is the world’s largest gathering of social innovators and entrepreneurs who will share knowledge, exchange ideas and accelerate collaborative systems change in more than 250 sessions and activities that will be held virtually from 9-13 May 2022. 



For Catalyzing Change Week, I will be moderating a fireside chat called "The Role of Indigenous Artists and Filmmakers in Achieving the SDGs." and would be so pleased if you could join me!

We will be discussing the role of the Indigenous artists and filmmakers in retelling the story, and revisioning the future, of Canada: helping the nation move through truth towards reconciliation. The panel will convene four unique artists who are inspiring change and transforming our way of thinking and living.  

 

Panelists: 

Dr. Shirley Cheechoo
, filmmaker, artist and Chancellor Brock University

Dr. Brian McInnes, writer and professor of Human Ecology, great grandson of Francis Pegahmegabow, and co-creator of "Sounding Thunder, the Song of Francis Pegahmegabow".

Mr. Carey Newman, artist, film maker, creator of the "Witness Blanket".

Mr. Kevin Loring: award-winning playwright and actor, and the Artistic Director for Indigenous Theatre at the National Arts Centre of Canada . 



Coordinated by Catalyst 2030, the event brings together social entrepreneurs, representatives from the private sector, governments, funders and others involved in systems change, to inspire change in support of achieving the SDGs.
