Join Global Affairs Canada as the Development Engagement Lab presents their most recent data around support for and engagement with aid and global development, with a special focus on the impacts of COVID-19, including their research around effective messaging and public priorities for ‘building back better.’
How is COVID-19 affecting what people think about international development? What do people in the United States, Great Britain, Germany and France think about global issues today, and what can we learn from these insights that may apply to our work here in Canada?
The Development Engagement Lab continues the work of the Aid Attitudes Tracker examining public attitudes and behaviours towards development, global poverty and international assistance. Developed by a team of researchers from the University of Birmingham, University College London and University of Texas at Dallas and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the project measures public opinion on aid and development over a period of 10 years (2013-18 and 2018-2023).
