Jane is a dynamic executive and management consultant with unique experience encompassing public, private and civil society sectors.  She has a strong track record of leadership and capacity building of local teams in multiple countries, with a focus on development cooperation, resource mobilisation, inclusive business and corporate social responsibility, digital transformation and public-private partnerships.  During her 28-year career, Jane has worked in nearly 50 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, South America, Europe and the former Soviet Union (FSU).  She has been based in Turkey since 2005 and is currently Executive Advisor at Digital Opportunity Trust, a Senior Associate at Project Services International (PSI), and Board Member of Springtec Enerji.

DOT is a Canadian-based international social enterprise in which Jane has held multiple executive positions, including VP Strategic Alliances and VP Operations, since joining the organisation in 2004.  DOT is headquartered in Ottawa, Canada with activities in 25 countries, including 11 in Africa.  During her tenure, Jane has served as executive lead responsible for the launch of multiple DOT country offices and programs in Africa and the Middle East and built DOT’s corporate partnerships program with IBM and Google that has spanned 22 countries since 2009.  She has also represented DOT at the World Economic Forum Internet for All Initiative, the ITU-UN Women EQUALS Global Partnership for Bridging the Gender Digital Divide, the OECD-UN Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC), Transform Africa, Sustainable Brands and other international fora, in which DOT has launched innovative, multi-stakeholder initiatives with national governments and the private sector to accelerate digital inclusion and create new opportunities for youth and women.

Jane is also a Senior Associate at PSI, a Canadian international development consulting firm, located in Ottawa, that provides a broad array of international development consulting services to support sustainable economic development. PSI offers international expertise in project identification, design, implementation, management and performance review.  In Turkey, she holds the position of Co-Founder and Board Member of Springtec Enerji, an Istanbul-based company focused on renewable energy that represents Calgary-based Alter NRG in the waste-to-energy market in Turkey and the region.  Prior to her re-location to Turkey in 2005, she also served as Founder and President of Springtec International Consulting and as a Canadian diplomat involved in the design and delivery of Canadian technical assistance programs in the former Soviet Union.

She holds a M.A. in International Relations (International Political Economy) from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University. She is fluent in English, with a working knowledge of French, and basic Turkish and Spanish. Specific areas of expertise include: strategic planning, business development, management consulting, inclusive business and corporate social responsibility, multi-stakeholder partnerships, virtual management of multi-country programs, program and project development, entrepreneurship, capacity building, community-based development, performance measurement and monitoring and evaluation.
