You are invited to the presentation of the new Overseas Assignment Directive (OAD) that will replace the Technical Assistance Handbook (TAH). The presentation will be the most useful for international development assistance organizations as the directive will now also apply to employees recruited in third countries. During the presentation, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) will also have the opportunity to present their new approach on duty of care, and the possibility of joining a new group insurance policy for which GAC will cover 50% of the cost.
The development of the new directive is the result of the collaboration between GAC and independent firm Samson & Associates. The new directive will be presented by Mark Dillon, Partner, Samson & Associates, and the virtual meeting will be chaired by Luc Vermette, Deputy Director, Grants and Contributions Policy and Training of Global Affairs Canada.
GAC would like to thank Alinea, Cowater, and CUSO International for their valuable participation in the consultations phases. GAC is confident that the new directive will meet your expectations in terms of simplicity, inclusiveness and flexibility.
