Canadian Co-operative Association and Co-operative Development Foundation (CCA and CDF) 

Since 1947, the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada (CDF) has been raising funds and rallying volunteers to bring time-tested co-operative principles to developing countries. 

The Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA), which proudly delivers programs on behalf of CDF, is a not-for-profit co-operative which establishes and strengthens co-operatives, credit unions and community based organizations to reduce poverty, build sustainable livelihoods and improve civil society in less developed countries. 

Reporting to the Boards of Directors of CCA and CDF, the joint Executive Director will lead the organizations towards fulfilling its mission and vision. The preferred candidate will have experience in the senior leadership of a co-operative or not-for-profit organization, exemplary communication skills, an ability to build and strengthen effective relationships with the diverse stakeholders of CCA and CDF and of fundraising processes and applications. Peers will regard you as a strong manager and leader, a successful innovator, a mentor and coach, and one who possesses an understanding and appreciation of both the co-operative model of business and of the multiple aspects of international development work. The Executive Director must also have strong financial acumen and understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, experience working with a Boards of Directors, and be a judicious steward of limited resources.
