Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce that the Evaluation and Learning Unit of the MasterCard Foundation is hiring an Evaluation and Learning Intern. This is a full-time, paid position located in Toronto, Canada. All applicants must be able to work in Canada.

The MasterCard Foundation is a global foundation based in Toronto, Canada, with over $5 billion in assets. It was established through the generosity of MasterCard Worldwide at the time of the company’s initial public offering in 2006. The Foundation believes that every person has the potential to transform their lives and improve the lives of their families and communities. The Foundation collaborates with partners to advance sustainable and scalable solutions in microfinance and youth learning, focusing on countries that face high rates of poverty and growing numbers of out-of-school youth. Much of this work will be accomplished by building strong institutions in developing countries – particularly Sub-Saharan Africa. The Foundation has a strong commitment to program effectiveness and has engaged in a broad spectrum of monitoring and evaluation activities since its inception. As such, evaluation and learning are carried out in service of programmatic impact.

We are now looking to bring on an evaluation and learning intern to contribute to this mandate. The internship description is attached but can also be located on the MasterCard Foundations website: http://mastercardfdn.org/about-us/careers. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in expanding their knowledge-base of evaluation and learning at an international foundation and especially in the areas of microfinance, youth learning and international development. Applicants may be current students, but recent graduates are free to apply.

Many thanks,
