PROGRAM MANAGER - RWANDA
The Canadian Cooperative Association (www.coopscanada.coop) is seeking applicants for an Ottawa-based Program Manager for a Rwanda food security project.
Responsibilities include:
 Program management, including planning, reporting, leading program reviews and facilitating change
 Program financial management, including budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation
 Monitoring and managing project risks
 Managing relationships with the Rwanda Field Office, as well as donors, partners and other NGOs in Canada
 Managing contract obligations
 Managing technical assistance volunteers and consultants
 Managing other projects, as required
Qualifications include:
 Demonstrated competence in international development, project management, financial reporting and control
 Fully bilingual in French and English
 University degree in a relevant field plus 3-5 years experience in contract administration and project management of development projects
 Strong positive interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
 Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to co-operative forms of enterprise (co-op model)
 Previous experience in Africa is an asset
Working conditions: Based in CCA’s Ottawa office. Overseas travel to developing countries required, generally twice annually. Some overtime required, particularly in peak periods.
Salary and Benefits: Commensurate with experience, Level 4 ($61,786-$65,420) + full benefits package.
