International Youth Internship Positions (various)
Bow Valley College, in partnership with College of the Rockies and Selkirk College now have International Internship Positions open through Global Affairs Canada’s funded International Youth Internship Program (IYIP). As part of the Government’s Youth Employment Strategy, IYIP is designed to offer Canadian post-secondary graduates the opportunity to gain professional experience through international development work.
There are a total of 28 internships available this year in countries in Africa, the Caribbean and South America. Our three colleges will be offering positions in 2019 and 2020 as well.
The internships positions are a commitment of six months overseas plus two weeks for Pre-departure and Re-integration training. Interns receive a monthly stipend to help support their living costs overseas.
The program for 2018 is from approx. the end of May to mid-December. Please refer to each institution’s website for more specific information on program dates.
